Aft Deck Lounging Area

We have been working on integrating a second lounging area into the aft deck, where you are in the lee of the house at anchor.

If a second dinghy is not required, this is an ideal use of the space. The BarBQ/sink/fish cleaning area moves aft (from between the dinghies where it was before).

There are two positives with this layout. First, it is out of the wind behind the house structure. Next, it creates a second lounging area so if there are guests aboard they and you can have different areas on deck in which to relax.

The seating and work area are bolted to the deck with blind inserts. This makes it easy to modify the design if you find your needs changing. It also means if you decide you want that second dinghy all you need to do is unbolt the furniture and store it ashore.

The lounging area is under the protection of the aft deck awning (which could include drop curtains in a damp environment).
